The injured have been taken to hospital but it is possible that there are more who are affected, but who have transported themselves to hospital, Canadian police say at a press conference.
Early indications were that the victims may have been attacked at random, but police have not indicated a possible motive, the AP reports. Two men seen in Saskatchewan’s capital, Regina, are suspects in the knife attacks.
The police in the exposed city say that they are trying to locate the perpetrators with the help of mounted police. The public is advised to exercise caution.
