Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that the North American Air Defense Command (NORAD) had hit an unidentified object entering Canadian airspace.

Trudeau shared on his social media account, “I ordered the shooting of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace. NORAD dropped the object over the Yukon. Canadian and US planes successfully fired at the object.” used the phrases.

The Canadian Prime Minister also noted in his second post:

“I spoke with President Biden this afternoon. Canadian Forces will now recover and analyze the object’s wreckage. Thank you to NORAD for continuing to monitor North America.”

Prime Minister Trudeau did not share information on whether the object was a balloon or an airplane.

The United States announced a week ago that a Chinese surveillance balloon had entered its airspace, and the balloon was later dropped by an American military plane over the Atlantic Ocean. (AA)
