Dry conditions, temperatures more than ten degrees above normal and 94 active fires have Canadian authorities trepidating ahead of the weekend.
Twelve of Alberta’s nature parks are closed due to fire danger. 800,000 hectares have already been ravaged by fire in the province since the beginning of May, which is about the same size as Uppsala County.
2,800 people fight the fires. In addition to firefighters, the defense is deployed, and help has also arrived from the United States.
