Space Marine 2 puts you in a squad of three in the campaign and in operations, but some players want to play solo. Is that possible? MeinMMO explains it all to you.
Can you play Operations solo? The short answer is no, not yet. When you start an operation, you’re immediately put into matchmaking to work with other Marines to keep order. Some players on Steam have therefore found a cumbersome way to start an operation solo at the moment.
Disconnect from the internet and start a mission. You will then be thrown into a round with NPCs and can complete the operation. To ensure that your progress is saved, you should reconnect to the internet shortly before the end of the operation. This allows the system to synchronize again so that everything is saved.
Will a solo mode be added later? That could be the case if you trust the roadmap for Space Marine 2. According to it, the option to create private PvE lobbies will be available to all players for free in September. It is not known whether you will actually be able to start a solo operation in these lobbies.
It may well be possible that players will then be able to create a private lobby in order to go on operations only with bots or in a duo with another bot colleague. This way, you stay among yourselves and are not forced to make friends with other marines.
That was all the important information you should know about operations and whether you can play them solo. We will update our article as soon as there is new information about the whereabouts of a “solo mode”.
