CAN U17: Algeria, Morocco and Senegal successfully enter the competition

CAN U17 Algeria Morocco and Senegal successfully enter the competition

The Algerian U17 national team made a perfect entry into the competition by winning against Somalia (2-0) in group A, thanks to a brace from their captain Moslem Anatouf in the opening match on Saturday April 29. The Lionceaux de la Téranga also won their first match against Congo (1-0) this Sunday, April 30, with the goal scored by defender Serigne Fallou Diouf. The young Nigerians beat Zambia (1-0) with a goal from Favor Daniel. Morocco overthrew South Africa (2-0) with goals from Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal and Adam Hanin in the second half. It should be noted that the South Sudan team was disqualified by the Confederation of African Football on Saturday April 29, the day the competition kicked off, when they were to play the first match in their history in the tournament on the 1st May against Cameroon. The body revealed that the tests carried out detected the presence of more than three players deemed ineligible in their squad, resulting in their immediate disqualification from the competition. Group C is therefore reduced to three teams: Cameroon, Mali and Burkina Faso.
