The initiative, promoted by Campus Bio-Medico SpA (CBM SpA) it was born within the ecosystem that it sees within the University and the Policlinico of the Campus, is supported by the skills of Next4, investment holding company and qualified investor pursuant to the startup relaunch fund of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. Next4 has already distinguished itself in recent years for interesting operations in the digital health field.
The President of the holdingowned by Campus Bio-Medico SpA and Next4Production srl, will be Joseph GarofanoPresident of the Campus Bio-Medico Association, while theThe Chief Executive Officer will be Valerio Fiorentino, recognized manager in the field of venture capital and private equity. The board of directors will be formed by nine componentsincluding the General Manager of CBM SpA Domenico Mastrolitto and Davide D’Arcangelo of Next4 who will hold the position of managing director.
The deed of incorporation, signed in the presence of the President of CBM SpA, Davide Lottieri and the Administrator of Next4 Production srl Angelo Paletta, therefore marks the beginning of a University Tech Venture path that is unique in the Italian panorama.
An example of how the integration of research, innovation and acceleration on the market can not only enhance the ideas and resources of the ecosystem in which it was born, but also attract talent from all over Europe and become a true center of excellence for medtech and of digital health in Rome.
Campus Bio-Medico Investment Holding srl has the investment company Terravita, the first subholding and alternative investment fund, was presented on May 24 at the shareholders’ meeting of CBM SpA which will have as its specific objective the Raising capital to invest in start-ups in the seed and pre-growth stages for the aforementioned issues with a first closing of funding at €50 million. Terravita has already started scouting and evaluating an initial deal flow, with the aim of making the first investments by the summer.
