Prior to the summer of 2025, three Swedish campsites are identified as the country’s worst – according to the guests’ own grades. Now the owners respond to the criticism and reveal unexpected plans for the future.
Many of Sweden’s hundreds of campsites are very popular – but far from all, according to the guests. Now have Aftonbladet Compiled guest grades and pointed out the campsites that received the worst rating for the summer of 2025.
According to the industry organization Swedish Campings Last annual report was registered for almost 17 million guest nights at the country’s campsites during the past year. Martin JuhosCEO of Swedish Camping, believes that the industry is strong – and highlights Swedish campsites as some of the best holiday options in the country.

Sweden’s worst campsites
But despite the industry’s optimism, not all facilities are equally popular with guests. Three campsites stand out especially – but in the wrong direction, at least according to Google’s rating.

3. Hindås Camping
In third place on this less flattering list is Hindås Camping, reports Aftonbladet. According to information to News24 from a former employee, the campsite has closed due to the plant’s poor condition.
But there are still plans for the future here as well. The campsite will be renovated and re -launched – with new energy and improved standard. Among other things, both paddle and boules are planned as part of the new start, the former employee indicates News24.

2. Ängby Camping
Last last we see Stockholm Ängby camping, with an average rating of 2.9 but about 270 reviews, Aftonbladet informs. Despite investments in both water slide and bridges, the guests are not convinced. News24 has been in contact with the campsite who does not want to leave any comments.

1. Gullmarsbadens Camping
According to Gullmarsbadens Camping Offers the facility everything you could wish for at a centrally located campsite. Despite this, the business in Lysekil’s municipality takes the last place of all campsites in Sweden, according to Google ratings. With more than 200 reviews, the business is on the grade of 2.9 out of 5 possible, reports Aftonbladet.
The owner Anders Jönsson tells in a telephone interview with News24 About the setback and the plans for the future. According to Jönsson, the low grade is good, and says: “I like it, it is good, it should be a low rating because you cannot invest if you do not get clear information for what we can do and not”, and then continue if the grand plans he has for the business.
The goal for the campsite is to do Sweden’s best “turn around” in the camping world and become Sweden’s best, says Jönsson.
