The number of visitors to the memorial center has increased rapidly in recent years. In 2022, the museum still had 17,000 visitors. About a third of last year’s visitors were under 18 years old. Director Micha Bruinvels previously stated that he would like to rejuvenate the audience. The museum tried this, among other things, with VR glasses.
