Camilla Richardsson has run three distances in the past year, a new Finnish record.

Camilla Richardson has run a new half marathon Finnish record.

Richardsson ran in Barcelona with a time of 1:09:55 and finished ninth. The previous record was Annemari Sandellin in names from 1998. Richardsson improved Sandellin’s time by nine seconds.

Richardsson’s own record was set a year ago on October 1, 2008. According to the release, he even expected a much tougher time in Barcelona.

– Even under 1:09 I thought, because the winter training has gone well and I have done good training, Richardsson said according to the press release.

According to Richardsson, the half-marathon run was made difficult by the strong wind, which especially hindered the last 4-5 kilometers.

– Considering the weather, my time was even surprisingly good. It wasn’t the best day anyway. The legs felt good, but the wind and cold made it difficult to go.

In the last year, Richarsson has run the Finnish record for the most distances.

In December of last year, he ran the SE marathon in Valencia with a time of 2:24:38 and under Alisa Vainio beating the previous record by almost three minutes. In May, he broke the Finnish 10,000 meter record in London.

Nina Chydenius was 17th in Barcelona with a time of 1:33:33. The competition was won by Kenya Jouciline Jepkosgei on 1.04.29.
