The Supernatural spin-off The Winchesters is ill-fated. The prequel series about demon hunter John Winchester (Drake Rodger) was recently canceled. Now the producers are being sued by a cameraman. Because lightning is said to have injured him while filming.
Fantasy makers are said to have blamed lightning strikes on the Supernatural series
As the Hollywood Reporter reports, camera assistant Bryan DeLorenzo is suing the makers over an accident on the set. Filming took place in Louisiana in 2022 and was hit by a storm. According to the indictment, director John Showalter is said to have insisted that filming continue despite the acute risk of weather damage. And then lightning struck.
“There was a loud bang. The plaintiff saw white light, before he was struck by lightning and lost consciousness“, says the indictment. It is not known how serious DeLorenzo’s injuries were and exactly how much money he is demanding from the producers.

The makers of the series should therefore willfully ignored precautions protecting the team and equipment from the weather. This reportedly includes a minimum 30-minute break after each lightning strike within a six-mile radius. Also among those accused is Supernatural star and The Winchesters producer Jensen Ackles.
