The Skiing World Cup was for a long time several missed medals in a row for the blue and yellow men’s skaters. While the Swedish ladies collected medals in heaps and salvaged a total of four gold medals, it was extremely tough for the men.

When the national team veteran landed on Swedish soil again, he gives his message about the future and is brutally honest after the tough medal miss in the five mile. Halfvarsson admits that he has no plans whatsoever to retire and is also open to the next Ski World Cup in Trondheim in 2025.
– Now it’s a long time until the next championship, it’s two years. So we’ll see how the body responds in the coming years. I will probably drive one more season because it has gone so well this year, so it feels wrong to stop now, he tells Radiosporten.

Calle about the future

The coming ski season will be decisive for whether Calle Halfvarsson chooses to bet on the skiing WC in 2025.
– We’ll see how it goes next year, if it goes very well, I’ll try against Trondheim. And of course I hope to be able to take that medal then, he says in the interview.

As early as this weekend, new ski competitions await when it’s time for the World Cup in Holmenkollen. But first Halfvarsson has to take a detour home to Dalarna before it’s time to recharge for new ski races.
– Now I’m going home to my family and I miss them very much. I’ve been away from them for over a month and now it feels good to come home and get some distance from this. Play with the boy at home and forget about this to recharge for new competitions, he tells the radio channel.
