What a revenge this season was for Calle Halfvarsson.
Now he summarizes the season in his own words on social media.
“I would like to thank everyone who is with me and supports me along the way,” writes Calle on Instagram.

After many tough years found Calle Halfvarsson returned to great form again this season and had a rekindled joy for cross-country skiing. Before the last season, the Swede took a serious look at whether it was time to end his career completely after a miserable season.

Success for Calle

But the national team veteran chose to continue competing and it was lucky that Halfvarsson got revenge this season. The 34-year-old has really impressed during the winter and has taken several nice podium places at the World Cup.

Even during this year’s ski WC in Planica, it was a reborn Calle Halfvarsson who was so incredibly close to taking the very first individual WC medal of his career. But after a raucous sprint duel in the five miles, he was beaten by his compatriot William Poromaa with just a few seconds.

Halfvarsson’s words

The clear proof of the Swede’s successful season came when the International Skiing Federation, Fis, released the list for the prize money at the World Cup and Halfvarsson took a nice top 10 place among a lot of Norwegians. Now another ski season has ended and then Calle sums up the year that has been with nice words to everyone who supported him.
“Happy Easter to you! This season is over for me, I would like to thank everyone who is with me and supports me along the way. All from all the strong sponsors who make my investment possible. All the fans back home who never give up and support in both ups and downs. So many thanks to you back home,” he writes in a post on Instagram, see it below.
