Dramatic scenes unfolded during the Tour de Ski.
Calle Halfvarsson did not like what he saw, but the Swede’s criticism is downplayed from the Norwegian side.
– It seems that he thinks a lot, says Harald Östberg Amundsen to NRK.
The Tour de Ski is over for this time. Although the Norwegian superstars Johannes Hösflot Kläbo and Simen Hegstad Krüger forced to give up the tour, it was still Norwegian at the top of the podium in the end.
Harald Östberg Amundsen took hold of the Tour early, and held on all the way to take home his first overall victory in the Tour de Ski. On the podium he was joined by Germans Friedrich Moch and the Frenchman Hugo Lapalus.
Best Swede overall Jens Burman in eighth place.

Calle Halfvarsson had high hopes for the Tour de Ski. But the 34-year-old fell ill with covid just before, which led to him not having a good tour. He ended up in 22nd place overall, a placement Halfvarsson was not happy with and which he himself criticized. But he has also criticized something else during the tour.
The Norwegian’s criticism
During the penultimate stage, the mass start of 15 kilometers, the Italian fell Dietmar Keys in the last downhill. Jens Burman was right behind, unable to avoid Nöckler, and he also fell.
– I think it’s absolutely incredible, I don’t think it’s a difficult turn. That people can’t stay on their feet…, says Calle Halfvarsson to NRK and shakes his head, before continuing:
– I don’t understand what the problem is. I get annoyed that people can’t keep a greater distance between each other. This hill is wide, you don’t have to lie across each other.

Halfvarsson’s outing thought Tour de Ski winner Östberg Amundsen was a bit harsh.
– It is not very easy on this stretch. It is snowing in the new snow. I fully understand that people can fall. Calle has many opinions about the days. Both about the tour and in general. It seems that he thinks a lot, says the Norwegian to the Norwegian channel’s website.
