Now Calle Halfvarsson strikes back against the Norwegian outing.
The ski season and the World Cup have come to Norway and Lillehammer. After a premiere weekend in Finnish Ruka that was very successful for the Swedish national ski team, especially on the women’s side.

The psychological war between Sweden and Norway is also in full swing early on in the season opener. Norwegian skiing star Lotta Udnes Weng now going after the Swedes with a clear outcome.

She thinks that Swedish skiers complain far too much.
– I know the Swedish dikes. They fight like only one, but as soon as Sweden is not on the podium, it is the fault of the skis. They are the best in the class at complaining, says Udnes Weng to the Norwegian newspaper VG.
– It creates a bad atmosphere in the team. I call them the whining national team.
The Swedish veteran Calle Halfvarsson do not understand at all what the Norwegian is talking about now hits back against the strange claim.
– No, I don’t think we complain that much on the skis. I don’t think anyone complained about the skis last weekend. I have no idea, we’ve only raced one weekend at the World Cup. Or well, they talk about last season. What exactly is there to talk about now? It’s a new season and it’s time to rehash some old grudges. There is no point, is there?, he says to SVT.

Halfvarsson instead believes in a really good season with good skiing at the World Cup and then the Skiing WC.
– It is better to evaluate after a few weekends into the World Cup and see how much whining there is on the skis then. But I don’t think we will, I think we’ll have good stuff.
