Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3: release date, beta… We tell you everything

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 new trailer for the

After more than a year of waiting, Call of Duty is back with the release of Modern Warfare 3. This homonymous sequel to the new arc of the license promises to be explosive.

After the explosive success of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2019, it’s hard to imagine Activision-Blizzard not going further in the development of their favorite license. The king of FPS, as it is often called, can still claim to be the most popular license in the corner of shooters, despite two recent Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 more than average. But once again, the hen with the golden eggs of the huge American studio must produce a new offspring, presented in the form of a very recent trailer that we show you just below.

What’s new in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?

The years pass my recipe does not change, or little for the famous FPS. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 presents itself like all its predecessors before it: a cocktail of action and plot-twists on a technical background that does not seem to change too much from previous titles. Because we must warn you, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 does not intend to revolutionize the most popular formula in the world of shooters, but rather to be based on the solid format of its two predecessors. It is therefore difficult to imagine major changes for this highly anticipated novelty.

If it does not intend to innovate beyond its story mode, on the other hand Modern Warfare 3 wishes to play the card of nostalgia, by offering no less than 16 multiplayer maps upon its release. They will be, as you will have understood, all taken from the original 2009 game of the same name, and will come in the form of cards that have been completely remastered for the occasion.

Finally, to finish, you should know that two of the franchise’s most popular modes will also be part of the game’s release on November 10, namely War mode and Zombie mode. The first will compete with Battlefield by offering large-scale combat to players, while the second will offer an experience as unique as ever in a parallel universe where the dead arise from the ground in unlimited waves.

A zombie mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?

As we told you a few lines above, Modern Warfare 3 intends to reintroduce the Zombie mode that fans like so much. Usually reserved for less “modern” license titles, such as the latest Call of Duty: Vanguard, it will therefore be present in this new release, and even quite central. Indeed, it is once again the teams of SledgeHammer Games who have set themselves to the task of building this game mode as a whole, ensuring to offer fans “one of the greatest cards ever offered in its history.” It remains to be seen whether the Zombie mode intends to continue in its “convoluted” peregrinations of the latest titles of the license, or return to a more sober experience as when it was discovered, at the exit of World at War.

As is now customary when a Call of Duty game is released, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will offer players a beta period allowing everyone to test the game. Well everyone, not exactly. While every year since the release of Modern Warfare in 2019, a public beta period has always followed a closed beta period, Modern Warfare only seems to be offering the second this year. It will be reserved for players who have pre-ordered the game in all its editions.

What is the release date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?

If Modern Warfare 3 seems quite limited in terms of innovations, both in terms of its content and its technique, it remains one of the biggest releases of the year. And once again, Activision-Blizzard opts for a winter release on November 10 next. The game will be available on next-gen consoles and PC, but also on PS4 and Xbox One, greatly limiting its graphic innovations.
