Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is said to have a parkour mode in which you overcome obstacles and climb higher and higher.
Season 3 is now running in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. There are new maps, weapons and modes. But just in time for the start of the season, a leak appeared with a new mode that is currently missing from the game.
Here you can see the trailer for Season 3:
Leak shows new parkour mode
What is this leaked mode? Leaker and dataminer “BobNetworkUK” shared a clip of the supposedly upcoming game mode “Get High” on X.com (formerly Twitter). The gameplay shown is reminiscent of “Only up!” – the game that drove numerous Twitch streamers to despair in the summer of 2023.
In Get High you apparently have to overcome some kind of obstacle course in a colorful, neon world that could also come from Tron Legacy. The goal is to reach a height of around 283 meters without falling.
Rotating and moving objects can also be seen in the clip. Some levels go up and down, others back and forth. There is also a platform that rotates sideways like a barrel as the player walks along it. In the video, the player also shoots at targets, which then trigger a specific action, such as lowering a platform.
You can see the leaker’s clip on X.com here:
Will the mode remain permanent? No, probably. Of course, we can’t say this with certainty since it’s still just a leak, but the data miner writes in his post on X.com that this is probably a “limited-time mode”. Mode.
When does the mode come? The leaker didn’t give an exact date, but it will probably be playable in Modern Warfare 3 as part of the 4/20 event. Accordingly, a release can be expected around April 20th.
Has there ever been a mode like this before? No, there was no parkour mode in Call of Duty in which you have to reach a certain height and climb higher and higher.
However, with “Free Run” there was a mode in Black Ops 3 that went in a similar direction. Even back then you had to overcome an obstacle course and tried to reach the finish line as quickly as possible.
There were also passages in Free Run where you had to jump over obstacles or shoot at some kind of target. Wall runs also played a major role. The crucial difference, however, was that you only had to reach a goal and not a specific height.
