After Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty games may be returning to the Steam platform, Activision has started updating its Steam page.
Call of Duty games may be returning to their Steam pages. Activision Steam page started to move. Activision, which released the last COD game to Steam in 2017, announced that Modern Warfare 2 would come to Steam. Now, a banner image, follow button and a neat game tag can be seen on the company’s official Steam page.
Call of Duty games were last released on the Steam platform in 2017.
Activision hadn’t actually left Steam entirely. The Sekiro and the Spyro remake was released on Steam in 2019. However, Call of Duty games and Crash Bandicoot 4 released in the last 4 years were exclusive to Battle.Net, and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 were exclusive to the Epic Games Store. This caused Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Modern Warfare, Warzone, Black Ops: Cold War and Call Of Duty: Vanguard not to come to Steam.
Activision’s return to Steam, of course, will mean that all these games will come to Steam over time or in bulk. In addition, the prices of COD games may decrease during the sales periods (such as summer sales) that Steam frequently organizes.
