Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: Disable crossplay

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 you can play together with players on another platform – but not everyone wants that. We’ll show you here how to turn off crossplay.

What exactly is crossplay? Crossplay is a setting in various games that allows you to play with – or against – players on another platform.

With crossplay, for example, you can play the multiplayer of Black Ops 6 on the PS5 and hunt across the maps together with friends who play on the PC or Xbox.

This is how you turn off crossplay in Black Ops 6

How do I turn off crossplay? First you have to open the game settings and select “Account & Network”. You will then find the option to switch off crossplay in the “Online” area. Here again in the overview:

  • Settings – Account & Network – Crossplay
  • A notice: You can only deactivate crossplay on the consoles, i.e. PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. You can’t turn off crossplay on the PC!

If you play on Xbox, you also have the option to turn off crossplay via the console settings. There you then have to open “Online Safety and Family” and click on “Privacy and Online Security”.

You then navigate to the “Xbox Data Protection” settings and have to block “cross-network play” under “Communication and Multiplayer”. Here again clearly:

  • Settings – General – Online security and privacy – Privacy and online security – Xbox privacy – View & customize details – Communication and multiplayer – Block cross-network play.
