Decisions made by former Activision CEO Bobby Kotick made Call Of Duty games worse. At least that’s according to programmer Christina Pollock, who worked on the previous series. Kotick was reportedly fired from his job last week and now, in addition to sleeping comfortably, he was sent off with a “golden parachute” worth $15 million. That figure is unlikely to include his large stakes in the company. Christina Pollock commented on the lawsuit: “Bobby’s decisions have made our games worse. It turned out that he threatened to kill an employee in my first month. At the all-hands meeting that followed, no one wanted to speak at first. But I publicly demanded that he be fired.”
Not only Pollock, but his former colleagues also gathered to wish Bobby well as he walked out the door and to share their experiences as a manager. Andy Belford explained that concerns about Overwatch 2 being bombarded with criticism on Steam were repeatedly ignored before launch.
