An important statement came from Russian President Putin regarding the war in Ukraine. Putin stated that negotiations could begin if Ukraine withdraws from four regions and renounces NATO membership.

Putin said that they could start negotiations if Ukraine withdraws its troops from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia and gives up its desire to join NATO.
“WE OFFER TO END THE CONFLICTS”
In his statement, Putin said, “Today, we are making a real peace offer to Ukraine again. We are offering to establish a temporary ceasefire and end the conflicts, not to freeze the issue.” On the other hand, Putin stated that they were not invited to the conference in Switzerland and said, “It is impossible to find a solution to Ukraine and European security without Russia and without establishing an open and responsible dialogue with us.”
