(Finance) – Support programs to combat educational poverty in all the countries where the Unicredit group (except for Bulgaria and Romania where the Call has just concluded successfully). With this goal UniCredit Foundationin line with its purpose of unleashing the potential of the next European generations, launches the “Call for Education 2023”. To this initiative, which will involve Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary, UniCredit Foundation will allocate an overall contribution of 3 million euros.
The initiative is aimed at identifying and supporting programs for lower and upper secondary school students (age group 11-19), carried out by non-profit organisations, with particular attention to: combating early school leaving; facilitate access to and completion of university studies; favor the acquisition of adequate skills for entering the labor market.

and improve in the social aspects, in line with the ESG strategy and the strategic plan of the Bank”.
By 8 September 2023, non-profit organizations must submit their application on the dedicated platform. By the end of October 2023, an ad hoc Evaluation Committee will select around 20 winning projects, also indicating the amount of the support itself.
