The observation of phenomena astronomical and climate of the environment in which they lived – such as the regular shifting of the shadow, the lunar cycle or the return of seasons – served as landmarks to structure the agricultural, social and religious life of the different civilizations of our planet.

We will detail in this dossier the ancient systems of the Middle East,EgyptGreece, Rome, as well as the two calendars still used today by Jews and Muslims.
