Caledonia man dies in single-vehicle collision

A 28-year-old Caledonia man was killed in a single-vehicle collision early Thursday, according to Haldimand OPP.

Police and Haldimand County Paramedic Services responded to a 3 am call on April 11 regarding a collision at the intersection of Argyle Street and Highway 6 in Caledonia where they found the driver of a sedan had been ejected from the vehicle.

The person died at the scene. Roads were closed until about noon at Argyle Street and Braemar Drive, and Highway 6 between Greens Road and Fifth Line.

The incident is under investigation by the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team and police are asking anyone who might have information that could assist with the investigation to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
