C-leader: No to V-but yes to Andersson as prime minister

The relationship between C and V has been described as the biggest obstacle to putting together a red -green government base. The Left Party Party leader Nooshi Dadgostar demands that the party be allowed to sit in a future government if that page in wins the next election.

For 30 minutes, Muharrem Demirok answers the question of whether the Center Party is open to any form of government cooperation with the Left Party.

“The response is no,” he says.

You can’t cooperate with the Left Party?

– I see no such opportunities.

Program manager Anders Holmberg continues:

The Left Party’s Nooshi Dadgostar has set an ultimatum. Should they support a government, they should sit in it. Is it just as excluded to include the Left Party in a government or collaboration?

-Yes.

V: A vote on C is a vote on Kristersson

The Left Party thinks that the message from Demirok is “regrettable”.

– A vote on C in the election now seems to be able to mean that Kristersson may reign. It is difficult to interpret Muharrem’s message differently, writes Ida Gabrielsson, Deputy Party leader and economic-political spokesperson for the Left Party, to SVT.

Gabrielsson hopes that the Center Party will come to second thoughts in the future, but currently calls other opposition parties gathered.

Internal strife in C about prime ministerial candidate

The Center Party has a long period of internal strife behind it. It started after Muharrem Demirok in an interview in DN said he saw Magdalena Andersson (S) as “the most suitable to lead a government”.

This led to internal criticism and exit requirements against the C leader. The critics felt that it was far too early to point out a prime ministerial candidate.

Muharrem Demirok still believes that as long as Ulf Kristersson (M) chooses to cooperate with the Sweden Democrats, Andersson is the only alternative.

– If no one else wants to cooperate and no one else wants to find solutions ahead, well then we have to get through our politics and get that influence, he says.
