On Tuesday evening, the rapper C.Gambino, 26, was shot dead in a parking garage at Hisingen in Gothenburg.

Several shots were fired and the rapper was seriously injured. According to information to Aftonbladet, he should have called 112 himself and told them that he had been shot.

He also allegedly stated that a light-colored car left the scene in connection with the shots, according to the information.

But so far no one has been arrested for the murder of the famous artist. The police say they are working on several leads.

– We are investigating all conceivable theories. We do not lock ourselves into anything and check all starting points that can be checked, says August Brandt, press spokesperson for police region West.

“Focused on the music”

When paramedics arrived at the crime scene on Tuesday night, they gave him CPR. But the rapper’s life could not be saved, and he died in hospital at midnight.

The police say he had gang connections – but the rap artist has not been convicted of any serious crime.

People that Aftonbladet spoke to say that he “mainly focused on the music”.

– He was a damn fine person. We lived next door. I don’t want everyone to get that image of him, because he was a good person who is being mourned by his family now, says a neighbor.

However, he had joint business with a previously convicted gang member whom the police connect to the Norra Biskop network, according to Aftonbladet’s information.

“Often linked to gang conflicts”

It is unclear whether the 26-year-old’s connections to various gang members could be what is behind the murder.

– Right now we cannot go into any details. We do not rule out gang connections may be involved here, because this type of crime is usually linked to gang conflicts, says August Brandt.

At the moment, it is unclear who, or who, is behind the murder of the acclaimed artist.

The designated car, which is said to have left the scene shortly after the shooting and possibly in the direction of the E6, is said to have been a silver Volvo V70.

Police officers on site

Several police officers have been on site at the garage where the artist was shot. Among other things, a dog handler and a police dog have searched the garage floor.

Several visitors also come here to honor his memory. The pile of flower bouquets grows during the afternoon and evening and the candles become more and more numerous.

Some of those who are here express anger and frustration.

– Where are all the politicians? Why is nobody here today? says a man, flailing his arms.
