C-beauty, G-Beauty and T-beauty: set off on a journey through new beauty trends. China, Thailand or Germany, countries influence the world of skincare, drawing inspiration from their own cultures. But what is behind these beauty routines?
If K-beauty still dominates debates on skincare, social networks have seen the emergence in recent months of new trends from all over the world. In 2021, J-beauty had gradually established itself in the cosmetics landscape, surfing in particular on the wave of minimalist beauty, between science and tradition, winning a crowd of followers around the world. Today, the G-beauty, the C-beauty, and the T-beauty, which celebrate the rituals of different countries, are talking about them.
Asian inspiration
Backed by ancestral rituals, Asian countries have long influenced the beauty routine of Western nations, and more particularly of Europe and the United States. We saw it with K-beauty (for Korean Beauty) and J-beauty (for Japan Beauty). Today it’s the turn of C-beauty (Chinese Beauty) and T-beauty (Taiwanese Beauty) to gradually impose themselves. Their cosmetics are inspired, here again, by ancestral know-how and traditions.
The first, C-beauty, comes straight from China, and is characterized by formulas based on native herbs and plants, while drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese medicine. Holistic beauty, in short, which has continued to be emulated around the world since the start of the pandemic. All with an eco-responsible touch, now essential and synonymous with the cosmetics of the future.
The second, T-beauty, has its origins in Taiwan, and is very similar to the previous one since it also involves drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese medicine, while combining scientific expertise and natural ingredients. The roots are in the spotlight, as are some local plants, including the loofah. Unlike K-beauty, which is characterized by a beauty routine in about ten steps, C-beauty and T-beauty only require four or five, with the obligation to cleanse, tone, and moisturize her skin, before administering a mask adapted to her needs. Simple, basic and faster.
Beauty made in Germany
If Asia has largely established its influence in the world of cosmetics, Europe intends to catch up. And it could be done with the G-beauty, which comes from Germany (German beauty). Here again, the concept is based on authenticity, naturalness, exactly in line with clean beauty. And like its cousins from Asia, G-beauty is at the crossroads between nature and scientific expertise, based on the health of the skin. Holistic beauty, again and again…
It will be understood, all these new beauty trends are similar in many ways, except that they are based on traditions and ingredients specific to each culture. It now remains to experiment with each of these beauty routines, and to get the best out of them.
