Theft of food products is increasing in line with food price inflation.
Several traders have reported increased butter thefts and that they are just organized ones, according to Swedish Trade:
– It is criminal leagues that steal with the aim of reselling it, says security expert Nina Jelver, who describes that large bags are filled.
The price of butter has become 21 percent more expensive since July last year, according to Statistics Sweden.
