Windows is said to be preparing a new app called Designer for Windows 11. A preliminary version has been discovered by leaker Walking Cat, which regularly reveals well-hidden information.
Screenshots show that this app makes it easy to design posters and flyers, which can then be saved as images or shared on social media. In a way, Designer is a minimalist version of PowerPoint. It positions itself as a competitor of the graphic design platform Can go.
Just choose the image size first according to the target (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
The next step is to put photos, or other graphic elements, either by drawing from the image library, or by uploading your own files.
Then add text. You have the option of using templates as can be seen on the bottom left in the image below.
The final step is to save the image or post it to social media. You can also copy or send it to your smartphone.
Microsoft has also provided an option to post in one click on all your social networks. According to the image below, they must be connected beforehand.
The Designer app also has templates to quickly design image projects. The objective is to make life easier for the user without having to go through complex software.
Microsoft has not yet officially announced this application, nor specified whether it will be present in version 22H2 of Windows 11 which should be available around October. A demo version of Designer should be offered on the designer.microsoft.com site, but it is currently only accessible using developer tools.
