Businesses invited to join the Art Crawl experience

Chatham-Kent’s municipal art galleries are looking for businesses in downtown Chatham to join them for the return of the summer Art Crawl event in July.

The Thames Art Gallery and ARTspace have put out a call for entrepreneurs to animate their spaces with art, artists and artistic experiences for the July 29 event. The Art Crawl will run from 6 pm to 10 pm

“Downtown businesses are welcome to use their own creative ideas for the event, or they can contact the organizers for support with artist collaborations and concepts,” a news release said.

This year’s theme is “All Dressed Up… And Places to Go” and it is focused on fashion.

Participants will move between different storefronts in downtown Chatham at their leisure during the free summer event. The blocks in front of ARTspace and The Cultural Center will be closed to traffic to “optimize the pedestrian experience,” the release said

Business owners can contact the Thames Art Gallery at [email protected].

More information about the event and an application to participate is available at www.tagartspace.com.
