Business excellence awards finalists announced

The Chamber of Commerce Brantford Brant has announced the finalists for its 40th annual business excellence awards.

The awards recognize the achievements and contributions of local businesses and organizations across five categories in addition to an individual outstanding achievement award.

Following is a list of the finalists by category:

Waterous Holden Amey Hitchon Company of the Year Award: Mitsui High-tec Inc.; TigerCat Industries; Massilly North America Inc.

Enterprise Brant Entrepreneur of the Year Award: Oak House Benefits; Guru Training Centers Brantford; SongbirdMarketing.

Bell Community Builder Award: Organized Kaos; Joshua Wall, The Crew Real Estate; BioPed Footcare Clinic.

OLG Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Award: Nova Vita Domestic Violence Prevention Services; Contact North; Child and Family Services of Grand Erie.

United Way Resiliency & Exceptional Business Acumen Award: SOAR Community Services; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grand Erie, Halton and Hamilton; Grand River Council on Aging.

The winners will be announced on May 9 at the business excellence awards gala being held at the Towneplace Suites by Marriott.

The gala is one of the chamber’s signature events, chamber president Chris Rayfield said.

“The business excellence awards celebrate the hard work and achievements of the entire business community across the city of Brantford and County of Brant,” said Rayfield. “We congratulate each of our 15 finalists and look forward to showcasing their achievements in May.”

A preview video highlighting each of the finalists in the five categories is being released over the next week on the chamber’s social media channels. Each finalist also receives a copy of the video showcasing their organization, which was produced by Atomic Spark of Brantford.

The finalists and winners are selected by the chamber’s business excellence awards committee consisting of past award winners, from nominations received by chamber members.

The chamber represents the interests of businesses of all sizes and types in the County of Brant and City of Brantford.
