In the southern parts of the country, there are approximately 27,000 households that are connected and heat their homes with gas. Now the government wants these to receive the same compensation as those who receive electricity subsidies in electricity area 4 (southern Götaland).
This means approximately SEK 16,000 for an ordinary household with a consumption of 20,000 kwh. But just like with the electricity subsidy, it is still a bit unclear when it will be paid out.
– What is clear is that it will come, says Ebba Busch.
The companies that depend on gas have also requested support, but the government has no information on this at the moment.
