Busch and Andersson in a fight: “Way over the line”

Energy and Industry Minister Ebba Busch (KD) accuses S leader Magdalena Andersson of lying about the talks between the government and S about energy policy.

But Magdalena Andersson believes that no regular negotiations are conducted.

– I don’t think you should get away with a lie. It was way over the limit, says Ebba Busch.

In an exchange of words in the party leader debate on Wednesday, things got heated between S leader Magdalena Andersson and KD leader Ebba Busch.

Ebba Busch claims that energy policy talks, including about nuclear power, are held between the government and the Social Democrats.

– I am in talks as energy minister with several prominent current and former social democrats, said Ebba Busch in the Riksdag chamber during an exchange of words with Magdalena Andersson.

– They are constructive, it is knowledgeable, there are many difficult balances where we lay the foundation for a sustainable energy policy that does not put partisan political locks at the center.

But Magdalena Andersson does not want to know about any talks about an energy agreement.

– I don’t know which Social Democrats Ebba Busch is talking to, but my tip is, said Magdalena Andersson before she was interrupted by Ebba Busch, who said that talks are being held with S’s energy policy spokesperson Fredrik Olovsson.

But it is not true that there are any negotiations, claimed Magdalena Andersson.

– There are no real negotiations. If you want an agreement, then you need to have real political negotiations where both parties are prepared to give and take. Ebba Busch has not had any such negotiations with Fredrik Olovsson, says Magdalena Andersson.

However, Ebba Busch claimed that the S leader is lying about negotiations.

– Either she is lying or she has completely undermined her own representatives in these conversations.
