Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the bus company Nobina issued information that claimed that they notify 750 employees. This is despite being only responsible for traffic in Stockholm’s southern suburbs, Huddinge and Botkyrka for a month, when they assumed responsibility from Keolis on January 19.
The notification applies primarily to those who are employed in the Municipal contract area in southern Stockholm and includes everything from bus drivers to engineering and service hall workers.

Municipal about Nobina’s notice: “unacceptable”
The disputed public transport in the capital has been debated for a long time. Everything from canceled and fewer departures to IT-truls has previously been criticized from union.
One that is strongly critical of the decision to notify hundreds of employees is Zandra MichalChairman of the Municipal Stockholm County.
– We know that someone will run the buses in southern Stockholm in the future and we know that there will be the members of the Municipal who do. But it is unacceptable that bus drivers are used as game pieces in a negotiation game, she says in a Press release.
From the trade union, it is considered that the reason for the notification is that SL and Nobina disagree on the agreement that will source public transport at Södertörn. But instead of letting it be an issue that politicians, officials and bus companies are responsible for solving, the members are now being trapped.
