Bus driving in Sälen worse than ever

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

In Sälenfjällen, the problem with scooter drivers who misbehave is worse than ever before.

Between January 27 and February 6 this year, the mountain rescue has reported a total of nine scooter accidents. In the same period last year, no accidents were reported at all.

Now the local snowmobile club is appealing to the police for help to deal with the snowmobile bus. Anna Eriksson, who trains scooter drivers in Sälenfjällen, wants the police to be more present:

– It is not intended that we private individuals should keep order, that is actually the police’s business, she says.

The police in Dalarna have had to absorb the criticism and have now started training more police officers to drive scooters.

– I’ve been nagging them for years. They should only be out and visible so that you reduce the speed. I hope when they have received their scooter training that they will get out on the mountain, says Anna Eriksson.
