A bus and a car have collided on a bridge outside Sigtuna.
Three people in the car, including two children, were injured and have been taken to hospital.
– It is very slippery at the site, says Thomas Skantz, line operator at the Rescue Service.
The accident occurred around 07:20 on the bridge over Garnsviken between Sigtuna and Märsta.
– It’s a bus and a car that collided. The police have started with recovery and so they will combat slippage at the site, says management operator Thomas Skantz.
Three of the people traveling in the car were injured.
– The driver of the car, a woman in her 40s, was taken to hospital by helicopter. Two children in elementary and middle school have been taken to hospital by regular ambulance, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.
The extent of the damage is unclear. Everyone on the bus escaped without injury.
The road is closed in both directions and is expected to be closed until 10 a.m., according to the Swedish Transport Agency’s forecast. Traffic is currently being diverted via Märstavägen.
The police will write a report about causing bodily harm and negligence in traffic.
