Burkina: Kaya Church Calls for Reflection and Solidarity After Barsalogho Massacre

Burkina Kaya Church Calls for Reflection and Solidarity After Barsalogho

In Burkina Faso, the church of Kaya is launching an appeal following the massacre in Barsalogho. On August 24, in this locality in the center-north of the country, nearly 200 people, including civilians who were helping the army build trenches, were killed during an attack by a jihadist group. In a pastoral message, the local bishop, who considers the humanitarian situation in the area to be “acute”, called for a day of reflection on August 28 and asked the population to continue to show solidarity.
