Burkina Faso: journalists Guézouma Sanogo and Boukari Ouba were removed

Sahel FIDH denounces the regional convergence of repression practices

According to information from RFI, two Burkinabè journalists were kidnapped this morning on Monday, March 24, in Ouagadougou. They are Guézouma Sanogo and Boukari Ouoba, respectively president and vice-president of the Association of Journalists of Burkina Faso (AJB). Both were arrested without a mandate by plainclothes men presenting Burkinabè intelligence agents, before being taken to an unknown destination.
