The armed forces of Burkina Faso announced that they had neutralized, from August 7 to September 1, 2023, at least 65 “terrorists” during actions in several provinces. Following this operation led by the 7th Rapid Intervention Battalion, the people who had been cleared out were able to return to their villages, again according to the army. During the fighting, five wounded including two volunteers for the defense of the party were recorded within the Burkinabè armed forces.
