An artist claims that Bungie stole designs from marathon with her. The developers blame a former employee.
What stolen work is it about? On May 15, 2025, an independent artist reported under the artist name “Antreav” that the alpha of the upcoming extraction shooter Marathon Posterdesigns was used in April 2025 (via X). Marathon is the latest game of Bungie, the developer studio behind Destiny 2, and is scheduled to appear on September 23, 2025.
In another comment on the social media platform, the artist writes:
“Of course, bungie is not obliged to hire me if you develop a game that is largely based on the same design language that I have refined in the past ten years, but obviously my work was good enough to use it for ideas and install it without payment or name in your game.”
Afterwards, anti -Real explains that in the past 10 years she has never been able to achieve a constant income with this work and it was tired of using large companies as they “struggles” to make a living (via X). However, she has neither the resources nor the energy to take legal action.

Bungie admits: An employee has used it
What do the developers say about the allegations? On the official Marathon Discord server, the development team reported that they examined the incident.
During the examination, they found that “a former bungie artist [Designs] included in a texture list that was finally used in the game. ” The problem was not known to the current Marathon Art team.
Bungie has also contacted anti -reals to “discuss the matter”. It is now trying to do justice to the artist.
