Budget: should we free ourselves from European rules?

Budget should we free ourselves from European rules

It is soon the moment of truth for the government of Prime Minister Michel Barnier which must present this Thursday (October 10, 2024) the budget for 2025. A text closely observed in Brussels where the French deficit is worrying, expected at 6.1% of the GDP this year, far from the 3% limit set by the European Union. Are these rules still appropriate? Should we take inspiration from the Chinese and American giants?
