“Budget gaming is back” – Intel is introducing two graphics cards and could thus fulfill the wishes of gamers

Intel has introduced two new graphics cards, the B570 and the B580. MeinMMO introduces you to what you can expect from Intel from mid-December. Intel wants to get started especially in the entry-level sector and has two strong representatives in mind with the GeForce RTX 4060 and the RX 7600 for under 300 euros.

Which graphics cards are we talking about?

  • With the Intel Arc B580, the first new graphics card from Intel will be released on December 13, 2024. The price is $249.
  • The Intel Arc B570 will be released exactly one month later, on January 16, 2024. The price is $219.
  • The graphics cards are entry-level graphics cards that, according to Intel, are based on the GeForce RTX 4060 and the Radeon RX 7600. In the comments on YouTube, someone wrote: “Budget gaming is back, people.”
  • With the two graphics cards, Intel wants to clearly target gamers who want to play in WQHD (1440p). The predecessor, the Intel Arc 580, was still based on a Full HD resolution. A successor to the faster A750 has not been presented in this context.

Intel’s performance is based on the RTX 4060 and RX 7600 and wants to offer ray tracing

How fast is the B580? In the first official data and benchmarks, Intel shows its new Arc B580 in direct comparison with the GeForce RTX 4060 and the Radeon RX 7600. These are entry-level graphics cards that range between 250 and 300 euros.

In its presentation, Intel particularly emphasizes the good price of its new graphics card. Because the Arc B580 costs 20 or 50 euros less than the two competing models. It remains to be seen how the graphics card will perform in independent tests.

However, Intel explains that the new entry-level B580 graphics card should primarily be able to do ray tracing. And this is a capability that could usually be forgotten with the cheaper representatives from AMD and Nvidia because the performance was too low.

It is equally pleasing that Intel has given its two new graphics cards 10 GB (B570) and 12 GB (B580) GB of video memory. Because 8 GB is now very scarce in gaming thanks to DLSS/FSR, ray tracing and large textures. Nvidia in particular has always been very stingy with video memory in the past.

What possible problems could there be? The first generation of dedicated graphics cards from Intel struggled primarily with software problems. This still applies today, especially to older titles that rely on the DX9 interface. If Intel hasn’t worked hard on its software, then the release of the B580 is likely to be as difficult as the release of the A580 and the A750. Gamers hope: Intel’s B580 could become a new budget tip

How has the graphics card been received so far? If you look in the comments under the YouTube video, some players miss the announcement of the B750. The A750 had previously been Intel’s mid-range graphics card.

But many viewers explain that the price in particular could be a strong plus point for the graphics card. Someone writes: “Budget gaming is back, people.” The problem for many gamers has long been that graphics cards are becoming more and more expensive and there is hardly any good selection in the budget range. The price-performance tip like the Radeon RX 480 / 580 a few years ago has not been around for a long time.

And with the comparably low price of 250 euros, it hits the nerve of many gamers who don’t want to spend 2,000 euros just on a graphics card.

More about Intel: Processors can currently mainly be bought from AMD and Intel. But according to reports, Nvidia also seems to be interested in the CPU market. So far it has mainly sold graphics cards and very successfully: As if Intel didn’t have enough problems, Nvidia may be on the verge of entering the PC processor market
