Bubbling poop can give 200 students in Kiruna an early Christmas break

It was on Monday evening that poo water started bubbling up in large parts of the school’s premises.

It is closed for health reasons and nine classes with nearly 200 students were kept at home on Tuesday and this also applies throughout Wednesday.

– It is sad to have to give such information at short notice and I understand that it can cause problems, says the principal Per-Åke Hultstedt to the municipality’s website.

Leaning towards extended Christmas break

The question is whether the pump truck and the staff have time to clean up the mess before the Christmas holidays start on Friday.

– It depends on how the remediation work progresses. We don’t know why it has happened, only what has happened, says Per-Åke Hultstedt to NSD, which was the first to report the news.

Information about when the school will reopen will be sent to those concerned when Triangelskolan knows more.
