Malmö fell heavily in match one of the quarterfinals series against Brynäs. Before match two in Gävle, the Scania lacked their two regular goalkeepers due to injury and Oskar Blomgren had to guard the away team’s cage.
But it was Malmö who got a dream start eight minutes into the match.
Henrik Haapala came free and Brynäsbacken Axel Andersson disturbed the Finn so much that the judges chose to judge the penalty. An easy -going decision according to TV4’s expert Petter Rönnqvist.
– Oh … it was tough. It is a misjudgment, Rönnqvist said about the verdict.
Robin Hanzl was chilly and managed the penalty by waiting for Ludvig Persson in the Brynäs goal and putting 1-0 to the guests.
However, Brynäs acknowledged before the first period break through MIKS INDRASIS that obscured and steered Charles-édouard d’Astous shot from the blue line while Malmö had a waiting expulsion.
Silfverberg goal scorer again
Seven minutes into the second period, Brynäs took over the lead. Victor Söderström struck in powerplay when his shot was ruled on Johan Ivarsson’s back and into the nets behind Blomgren in the Malmö box.
In the third period, Brynäs pressed for another goal. Among other things, Jacob Silfverberg got the chance to manage the second penalty of the match, but his end took the goal frame.
Silfverberg, however, got revenge just minutes later when he pulled in 3-1 to the home team after the calabalon arose in front of Blomgren. Brynäs Stjärnforward thus netted for the fourth match in a row.
Malmö, however, did not give up and Teemu Kivihalme was able to send a Malmö reduction to 3-2 with just over eight minutes left of regular time.
Decided in empty cage
However, a forcing for a receipt never became very pointed via a solid home -made fensive.
“Brynäs can show that you are very good at defending yourself,” said expert Petter Rönnqvist.
Instead, Anton Rödin was able to send 4-2 in the open box and fix the second straight victory in the quarterfinals game for Brynäs.
– Everything may not go our way, but we will find a way to win. It has been our strength this season, says Brynäs Anton Rödin after the victory.
When the series now turns to Skåne, Brynäs has 2-0 in matches.
