Brynäs’ exciting signing before the return to the SHL – agrees with the great talent who scored 61 points in 46 games

Brynäs is back in the SHL again.
Now they have strengthened the team with a sought-after big talent.
– It will be really exciting to follow him, says sports manager Johan Alcén.

It was only a one-year stay in the HockeyAllsvenskan for Brynäs, who won the series by far and were then unstoppable in the playoffs. Now they are in full swing to build a powerful team to establish themselves in the SHL.

Brynäs agreed

Now they have agreed with a sought-after and young score king. It’s about Västerås’ great talent Hugo Lion who played 17 games in HockeyAllsvenskan during the past season.

But it was in the J20 series that the 19-year-old dominated greatly. Lejon finished with 27 goals and a total of 61 points in 46 games in the junior series.
– The plan that the club and Johan Alcén presented to me felt really good and in the end there wasn’t much to think about, says Lejon himself to the new club’s official website.
– It feels like a good and exciting step for me in my career.

The 19-year-old ready

Brynäs completely agrees with the 19-year-old and sees a bright future for the giant of promise.
– Hugo is an exciting and young player in whom we believe very much. We have kept a close eye on him and his performances over several seasons and we are particularly impressed by the steps he took last year. He has a very large development potential and possesses a fine sense of play. Like all young players, there are things he needs to develop, but it will be really exciting to work and follow Hugo in the coming years, says the sporting director Johan Alcén in a press release.

The plan is for Hugo Lejon to take a place in the SHL team. It will then be the first time in his career that he plays at such a high level and thus a real challenge that awaits the teenager.
