The home team Brynäs took the lead already after just over four minutes. However, Leksand did not give up and equalized in numerical superiority through the Czech Hana Haasova.
With 49 seconds left in the first period, Brynäs regained the lead.
In the second period Brynäs then scored both 3–1 and 4–1.
In the third period, Haasova scored her second goal of the match and reduced the score to 2–4. But Leksand didn’t get any closer than that. Instead, Sofia Ljung determined the final result 5–2 in an empty box.
Great match heroes for Brynäs were the Czech Alena Mills and the Swiss Lara Stalder, who were both noted for a goal and an assist.
Brynäs is second in the SDHL, one point behind league leader Luleå. However, Luleå has played one match less. Leksand is seventh.
