In addition to his role as the charismatic, sinister anti-hero Walter White from Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston is best known as wacky family man Hal made famous from Malcolm in the middle.
If you’re longing for a return of the sitcom, which ran for 7 seasons from 2000 to 2006, your dream may yet come true. Cranston is currently believed to be at the Idea for a Malcolm in the Middle reboot work.

Malcolm in the Middle stars would return for a reboot in a heartbeat
As Comic Book reports, former Malcolm in the Middle co-star Frankie Muniz spoke about the sitcom in an interview with Fox News. While he keeps asking himself what the characters are doing todayhe also spoke about concrete plans for a return:
We shot seven seasons with 151 episodes. I didn’t actually watch the show when it aired, but I’ve watched the show with my wife since then. We all have 151 episodes [geschaut]. I was like, ‘Wow, we did that.’ … I can part with being there and watching it as a fan. I would like to know what the family is up to. I know Bryan Cranston is really excited about the idea and he is is in the process of writing the screenplay and get everything rolling. So, there could be something. I would be there 100 percent.
Back in 2016 we reported that Cranston wanted to bring Malcolm back in the middle. Now this plan is becoming more and more concreteafter the star is probably already working on a screenplay.
There are no official plans for a Malcolm in the Middle reboot yet. Whether the well-known characters then only return briefly for a new story is just as possible as a short reunion special. Either way, the new Malcolm mittendrin project with the euphoric turnout from Bryan Cranston and Frankie Muniz sooner or later get rolling.
