In the operation carried out with the joint participation of security forces, army and prosecutor’s staff in the city of Poza Rica, located in the Mexican state of Veracruz, the bodies of 34 people were found hidden in refrigerators during a search of 5 houses.

Officials stated that the bodies were dismembered and bagged, and that 6 people were arrested in connection with the incident. It was stated that the operation was started with the aim of catching an armed group that opened fire on the police, and then the operation was expanded after 14 bodies were found in the house where the armed people took shelter.
