Darkman revolves around the scientist Dr. Peyton Westlake (Liam Neeson), who works on artificial skin for burn victims. When he gets in the way of a conspiracy, Criminals attack him and cruelly torture him with acid. His destroyed body is later found undetected and subjected to radical healing therapy that gives Westlake superhuman strength but also makes him mentally unstable. He seeks revenge.
