Los Angeles is threatened by violent fires. While the situation is struggling to be contained, many actors and personalities have been forced to evacuate their homes.

The city of Los Angeles is once again surrounded by flames. The megalopolis is facing one of the most intense wind episodes in more than a decade. With a power of 160mk/h, this hot and dry air coming from Utah came into contact with equally dehydrated vegetation, due to the heat peaks occurring in California. An explosive cocktail, guilty of the increase in fires in the area.

Faced with this catastrophic episode, the death toll of which was at least five, the Hollywood district was ordered to evacuate. In total, more than 100,000 residents were forced to flee, leaving behind around 15,000 destroyed buildings.

Among the evacuees is the star actor of Gone GirlBen Affleck. The director was in fact asked to turn around by the authorities while he was trying to reach his brand new $20.5 million home in the heights of Pacific Palisades. Located in the same upscale neighborhood, the villa of Mark Hamill, known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the saga Star Wars, also had to be evacuated.

For her part, actress Jamie Lee Curtis confided on Instagram that she and her family had to flee the area urgently on January 8. “My family is safe. A lot of my friends are going to lose their homes. So are a lot of other communities,” she said. A story similar to that of performer, actress and director Mandy Moore who “prays for all the residents of our beautiful city” on the application. Another star and businesswoman to have lost her home: Paris Hilton, who told the media she saw her home burning on live television.

But among these American residents, there is also the singer Patrick Bruel, owner of a pied-à-terre in the Pacific Palisades area. This Wednesday, faced with the growing concern of his fans, the Frenchman spoke on Instagram: “Thank you my friends for all your messages concerning this disaster in Los Angeles. Just to reassure you, there was no one in the house and children are safe at this time, it is impossible to know if the house is still standing. Part of Pacific Palisades and its surroundings go up in smoke. It will be. considerable material damage to see once the area is accessible, but for the moment, my thoughts are with the brave firefighters and those trapped in the flames. Strength to all!”
