Famous actor Bruce Willis quits acting due to Apashia (Aphasia). The retirement of the actor, announced by his daughter Rumer with a statement on Instagram, upset his fans.
Apashia disease, which Bruce Willis suffered from, is a problem that occurs in communication channels such as language use, word mixing, comprehension and writing. The communication of the caught patients either falls to very low levels or loses them completely. In the future, it can turn into results such as paralysis.
The leading actor of the Die Hard series has appeared in many more movies. However, we first got to know him in the TV series Blue Moon (Moonlight), in which he played with Cybill Shephard. The actress, who has taken part in more than 140 productions to date, works with an extremely intense tempo. Even starring in eight movies in the past year alone may have fueled the disease.
In the statement made by Rumer, he wrote the following lines:
“We wanted to share with Bruce’s amazing supporters as a family that our beloved Bruce has suffered from some health issues and was recently diagnosed with aphasia affecting his cognitive abilities. As a result and with great care, Bruce is moving away from the career that meant so much to him.
This is a truly challenging time for our family and we are so grateful for your continued love, compassion and support. We are going through this process as a strong family unit and we wanted to include his fans because we know how important he is to you as you do to him.
“Live,” as Bruce always said, and together we plan to do just that.”
